This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
I know a lot of people who think they are trapped into doing just one thing. They had dreams. When I try to find a way for them to acheive their dreams, they get very uncomfortable. I have a hard time relating to people that give up. They say things like: "I want to do this one thing, but I can't". Because then I show them how to make it work and they tell me to fuck off because they've already given up and don't want to hope. What do you have left if you have no hope? Maybe thay have conflicting goals. Even if it's possible to make the two goals co-exist, they chose not to because it's easier to go with what they are doing to begin with. They've already dealt with the conflict in their own way and don't want the help, don't want the hope. They've come to terms with the sacrifice and can't un-make it.
Every child is born with a sparkle in his/her eyes. When you ask them what they want to be, it's always "a fireman", "an astronaught", "a balerina". Then they grow up and their ability to dream is dulled. As a child grows, he/she becomes more grounded, realizes how much work it takes to do what he was dreaming of... and often rejects it for a new dream with work that's more desirable. It is that dream that a person needs to hold on to. The new dream is based on reality. This new dream or dreams have everything to do with what we actually want to do with themselves. When circumstance starts to break down these dreams, you have stopped dreaming. You take the lower course, the obvious choice. You do what is expected of you. At that point, your life stops being your life and becomes another's. By sheer wit and will you can overcome the circumstances and live as you choose. If you push, you can have what others tell you that you can't.
